Did you know…
The warship Diamantina berthed in the dry dock is the only surviving member of its type in the world. Diamantina hosted the final surrender of WW2 at Ocean Island on 1 October 1945 and she had a distinguished second commission undertaking oceanographic and hydrographic research in the oceans surrounding Australia from 1959-80.
